Happy Holidays all yall!

I'm back home in Texas, but it's pretty darn cold(of course- the Minnesota chill never leaves you no matter where you hide). It's good to be back with the family and our four cats!

I've been off the web for a while because accessibility is different (instead of wireless like it was at MCAD), and the scanner here is crap compared to the big mama jamas at the college. But I'm still drawing, and still fighting off the urge to hibernate instead.

For the first time in a very long time, I've started working out. Yep I'm trying to get back in shape! Lifting tiny weights, falling off bikes, waking up each morning with a sore butt... it's awesome.

Well you guys, I hope to make stuff that's post-worthy soon. And I hope yall have a great time celebrating the end of this freaking year! Take care!

Oh you guys. This moment in history must live on in our hearts for all eternity. It should be recorded in each history book. Because of Frank, I've named my pet cactus after him (it's cute and round like him). And you can be sure I'll name a boy after him if I ever reproduce. Just watch, and you will understand.

Hey guys, just wanted to yet yall know I won't be on dA or teh interwebs for a while. I'm not doing well in a couple of classes here at MCAD, and it's mainly cuz I spend a lot of time on the computer instead of doing work. I've been staying up till 3 in the morning on a regular basis, and on weekends I wake up at 4 in the afternoon. It isn't good.

So my therapist has given me sleeping pills to take at 11 pm so that I'll throw my ass in bed before midnight. I'm also supposed to wake up at 8:30 every morning, even weekends. The internet should be used mainly for homework she says, but the maximum fun time will be 1 hour a day.

I hope I can get my act together before the end of this semester, it really sucks. Well, I'll be seein yall. Take care, and keep up your great work everyone!

And the WPSA of the week comes from one Lewis Lovhaug, AKA Linkara, of "Atop The 4th Wall".
Just a couple days ago he uploaded a review of an infamous stinker of a comic written by none other than Frank Miller:
"All Star Batman and Robin".
And I gotta tell you, this is something that no comics enthusiast -hell, ANYone- should pass up. In one quote:
"I'm the goddamn BATMAN!"

Seriously guys, I consider this one of Linkara's very best reviews. It's informative while being entertaining at the same time, which is something only old school Sesame Street can pull off well. I think that it really shows how deep Linkara's knowledge of comics is- INFINITE.

He acknowledges the beautiful art in the comic but points out mistakes in editing that go from the subtle to the embarrassingly blatant. Overall, he knows his stuff. It expanded my tiny brain. The whole review is just oozing with professionalism: it's better scripted than the comic he's reviewing; it's filled with meaty chunks of info peppered with well-placed jokes and hilarious video clips (featuring clips from MST3K's "Manos: The Hands of Fate" episode no less!). He even treats us to the original script done by Frank Miller himself! Oh man, is THAT a thing of beauty.
I give it 0ver 9000 Crazy Steves out of 5.
